Is btrfs CoW killed my microSD card or something else did?

Last week, I converted the file system of microSD card from ext4 to btrfs, everything seems works fine. But several days later, when I tried to upgrade kernel packages, I/O errors occurred.

Those errors occurred when executing post script of kernel-core package, which wrote files under /var/tmp directory.

Is CoW feature of btrfs killed my microSD card? If true, then echo holly CoW.

The “Input/output error” message was edited with some text appended.

While this site doesn't provide GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed, generate a GIF with the following command:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/523949 demo.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg demo.cast demo.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
