YoutubeDLSS is a custom shell script made to download youtube videos and/or convert them to mp3, and even allows you to play them back with the use of various programs. YoutubeDLSS makes the download of a video simple and easy without the use of legthy commands. A command line first timer could download a video easily and browse through youtube. This and more, a script away. Just try it yourself.

Requirements: youtube-dl, vlc, sox, mpv

While this site doesn't provide GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed, generate a GIF with the following command:
