This video shows the deployment of Ceph Luminous in a SUSE SLE 12 SP3 cluster using the DeepSea deployment tool. The cluster nodes were already pre-installed with the ceph packages.

Stages 2 and 3 execution shown in this video were actually re-runs, which make their execution much faster, so that the video duration could be shorter. If you have the time, you can watch the video with the first run of stage 2 and 3 here: [Ceph cluster deployment with DeepSea] (https://asciinema.org/a/139435) (takes roughly 10m)

The deployment takes around 10 minutes to deploy a Ceph cluster in 3 nodes, each one with two additional hard drives for storage. In the end, we deployed:

  • 1 MON per node
  • 2 OSDs per node,
  • 1 MGR in two nodes.
