CVE-2020-3187 refers to a web services path traversal vulnerability residing in the web services interface of Cisco ASA and FTD software. This vulnerability arises from a lack of proper validation for user-supplied input within HTTP URLs. An attacker could exploit this flaw to gain unauthorized access to, and potentially delete, sensitive files on the targeted ASA/FTD device.
