Test of RPM CoW on CentOS 10

CoW improvement depends on the content of the packages, the gain is bigger with pacakges containing bigger files, but it’s never negative.

In this test we cover three use cases:

  • firefox: the worst case installing packages with hundreds of small files
  • clang: average case
  • linux-firmware: packages containing few big files

Results:
