See StepUp Core tutorial getting_started/interactive_usage/

First StepUp is started with two workers to complete the steps from scratch.
Then the file src/foo.txt is modified and the key r is pressed to run the affected steps.
Afterward, the file src/spam.txt is created and the key r is pressed again. Finally, q is pressed to exit StepUp

While this site doesn't offer GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed run the following command to create GIF file:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/656524 656524.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg 656524.cast 656524.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
