A transformer is a receiving interface for a jobspec. It ensures that the work can be staged, with any additional steps (at the jurisdiction of the transformer) to be performed. This basic demo shows the flux transformer receiving the job, setting up a staging directory, writing a script, and submitting it, both in a wait (watch) mode and without. Other example transformers might be for a Kubernetes cluster, Google Batch, or AWS Batch, or even my local machine.

Once you have it installed run the following command to create GIF file:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/647564 647564.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg 647564.cast 647564.gif
