(no need for zsh, it should only be installed)

A new approach to the command line:

it’s a merge of Midnight Commander and command line,
… because everything is panelized, greppable and remembered,
you enter commands like ls, mv, cp, cat and have their output captured, always,
then you can save the output via Ctrl-X (to a GDBM database) and visit it back with Ctrl-Shift-Left/Right,
the screen save includes complete state like: current working directory, grep keywords, cursor position, etc.

I’m hoping that it’ll gain some attention, because by accident I might have discovered a fully novel, unprecedented approach to file managers/command line.

Use with stand-alone player on your website

Download asciinema player from the releases page (you only need .js and .css file), then use it like this:

While this site doesn't offer GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed run the following command to create GIF file:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/577630 577630.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg 577630.cast 577630.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
