This is a slight modification of my original experiment. Instead of updating the default shell of root, it will add the user test1 to the sudo group. By default on Ubuntu installations, the sudo group can perform sudo actions with a password.

The benefit of this exploitation method is that no interaction by the root user is required. The only requirement is the account password, and access to build-essential.
