With Cortext-M7 600 MHz as the controller, INS8070 (SC/MP III) can run at about 4MHz clock. The controller can communicate with the MPU via software UART using F1 and SA at 4,800bps. It can load INS8073’s ROM (NSC Tiny Basic) and run the sample calendar.bas program.

Since INS8070 doesn’t have a signal which indicates the start of an instruction, the controller inspects every bus cycles and finds a start of instruction cycle by pattern matching.
