Autoscroll/IDE-like error jumping in TIG, the Git TUI

With the:

A. Autoscroll of the pager view patch.

B. Colorizing of the compiler errors in pager view (patch).

C. A simple keyboard-shortcut config, it’s possible to do, from inside of TIG:

1. Easily ´BROWSE˙ of all compiler errors and warnings.

2. Easily ˙OPEN THE EDITOR˙ on current error or warning.

Hence, it’s possible to do a quick IDE-like ROUND-TRIP ON ALL ERRORS FIXING THEM :)

Replay in terminal

You can replay the downloaded recording in your terminal using the asciinema play command:

Use with stand-alone player on your website

Download asciinema player from the releases page (you only need .js and .css file), then use it like this:

While this site doesn't offer GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed run the following command to create GIF file:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/430460 430460.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg 430460.cast 430460.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
