In response to https://asciinema.org/a/274210 – the behavior of Zplugin with the patches – induced by the mentioned asciicast - included.

The first, quite long interruption is being caused by the keyboard setting, the time-to-repeat the key. It has been addressed in the follow-up asciicast: https://asciinema.org/a/275375

While this site doesn't offer GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed run the following command to create GIF file:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/274439 274439.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg 274439.cast 274439.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
