This is a quick demonstration of NVME-of with Offload and P2P memory.

The switchtec gui shows the data is not going through the upstream port of the switch and an iostat stream shows the data is not going through the Linux block layer, but instead being offloaded by the Mellanox CX-5 adapter.

While this site doesn't offer GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed run the following command to create GIF file:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/162729 162729.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg 162729.cast 162729.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
